Title: Mufaro’s Beautiful Daughters: An African Tale
Main Character(s): Nyasha and Manyara
Why is it your favorite book this week? I like this book because it teaches lessons about greed and charity. Mufaro loved both of his daughter’s and thought that they were both beautiful and worthy to be queen. Manyara is mean to her sister, Nyasha, and is also very selfish. I like Nyasha better because she is nice and helps people, and she still loves her sister even though her sister treats her unkind. This story reminds me a lot of Cinderella and her wicked step sisters.
